The Chattanooga Chapter programs a wide variety of social functions throughout the year including Bi-monthly Dinners/Membership Meetings, an several annual social activities. Chapter members also participate in Memorial Day and Veterans Day programs at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The chapter supports local junior and senior ROTC programs and conducts a scholarship program for dependents of active and retired military members. Chattanooga Chapter members also represent us on various councils in the local area including:

• Chattanooga Area Veterans Council (CAVC) - Representatives of the Chattanooga Veterans organizations meet monthly to report and coordinate on activities of their organization. Should any information pertain to the MOAA Chattanooga Chapter membership, it is reported to our Board / Officers.
• Other Veterans Organizations - Many in our membership are also members within several veterans' organizations.
• Salvation Army - Many of our members participate in the "Bell Ringing" around Christmas time to raise money.
• ​Marines Toys for Tots - During our Christmas Dinner our members bring with them a toy for a boy and a toy for a girl that is handed over to the Marines.
• ​​Support our local Food Kitchen with non-perishable food items at Christmas time.
